I like it - good styling and it's 1/12 scale - nice a big. good amount of detailing. decent price.

"This Excavator is shipped without oil. You will have to fill the tank your self (half tank), by using a funnel or tube (not included)."

^ from the RC4WD page, how many excavators were shipped with oil in the tank & the closable vent left open? Good to see the company getting smarter... :)

Wow, 45 pounds for the wheel loader itself! That's pretty hefty! I always wonder how they calculate the breakout force of the cylinders. Specs mention 154 pounds of force on the bucket......lift? Can't be that much...can it?

Guilty, I have no construction vehicles to play with so I don't usually wander those parts...lol :p

RC4WD says 44lbs for their excavator, but it's actually barely 30lbs...

154lbs break-out-force... sounds like some creative writing to make it seem impressive, just like "most powerful loader on the market today"... I'd like to see this model run head to head with a Premacon and/or Fumotec loader ... maybe even chain 'em up back to back on the asphalt or carpet, add a brick or two in the bucket for greater traction (if you dare rc4wd!) & see which one breaks 1st. :D

Now that I think about it later, maybe the 154lbs is the force that the cyls themselves are capable of exerting @20Bar... but of course you're not going to be able to lift 154lbs out at the bucket's edge. ;)

pie x r squared x 280psi x 2 cyls = ?

If the lift cyls are 15mm bores each, then two of them would push 154lbs together. ;)

Knowing the stick cyl bore on my Vario is 21mm = 0,8268 inches

3,14 x (0,4134 x 0,4134) x 490psi (35Bar) = 262.95lbs force

That stick is (approx.) 4" above the pivot point vs 16" below to the ripper point, would the formula for positive & negative leverage be as simple as 1:4? If so, then at the point of the ripper it's 65.74lbs force. That seems plausible to me, having seen it rip the hard ground! ;)

I am ordering one straight from the manufacturer, this is a good deal in terms of price when compared to wedico and other german makers. Its big and powerful all steel. The model is a replica of Liugong CLG888 type wheel loader (LG) Liugong is the largest wheel loader manufacturer in the world( CAT, Komatsu are all behind them in terms of numbers)

Will post pics and videos soon...

Hi,
You allready have the wheel loader ?
Satisfied ?:)

Joe - the calcs for the leverage are all taken as perpendicular forces to the pivot ( true torque applied). But for rough estimates yes 4:1

It's a beauty for sure and at 3K I can get 2 of them!

How much of your loader is china made? Or is just Germany that has import restrictions?

That shipping cost is accurate for the size & weight of the parcel going airmail from the other side of world... maybe you could request surface mail by boat & wait 2-4 months to save a $100.
