I wanted to hide the wires for the lights as much as possible so decided to braid the wires took a bit of time but hopefully they will look ok once on.

Isn't it great when your woman loves and supports your hobby:D;)
Nice work so far! I also like to keep wiring as neat and tidy as possible. The braid is a great idea and look. I never knew it came in such a small size. Where do you get it?

Thanks for the comments guys.
As for the braid I got it from a custom pc website here in the UK.
I have used 3mm braid on the lighting and 6mm on the servo.
Really easy to although a bit fiddly as you have to take the connectors off the end of the wire to get the braid over.

The braid is made on nylon and woven like a Chinese finger trap. I have then used normal heat shrink on the ends to hold it in place.

Well got the body shot in clear over the weekend I think it is looking good for my first attempt at spraying a body like this. Everything else I have spayed has been lexan so didn't have to really worry about the finish. Cant wait to start adding the decals and chrome.

Hi,

before you finish your painting, I'd like to make a proposal.

I had a King Hauler cabine when I started my roadtrain project. I glued the skylight and cleaned it. You will get a clean and plain roof.

Now what to build next.

Nice build for your 1st truck. Instead of trying to figure out what to build next, why not start making the truck look like it is really yours? Start doing the normal addition of after market goodies to both the trailer and the truck. Anything you add will only make the rig look better in your eyes.

Hello mate the truck looks great in blue, good job on the painting I just built my first king hauler and first time painting also - it's not easy!

I reckon you should take a look at some of the aftermarket accessories you can buy and customise this truck before building something else. Check out www.gardentrucking.com, and google 'custom big rigs' for inspiration. I suspect you'll be spending some $$$ in no time!

Matt.

i agree make it all jazzed up. i find it hard on which one to drive and sometimes only wish i had one. lol I think the king looks so good with some aluminum goodies on a stock frame:D
