Glad I found this place. You guys have done some amazing trucks. I've been running RC off roads for awhile now, so I'm not necessarily new to the RC game, though I always want to build and recently built my first truck, a King Hauler. I'm keen to build my own fleet now. LOL

as a little background, My old man is a driver and has been for almost 40 years now. I'm a former active duty Marine of 11 years. Now I'm just a Fedex guy, though I've been off the past year because of a crushed disc and had spinal surgery and fusion not long ago to repair it, so I've had time for builds. LOL

and a shot of my Snowman build.

Welcome to the forum! That's a nice looking ride, especially for a first time build. I've found this site to be a great place for sharing information and having fun with others of the same hobby interest. Glad you found it.

Thanks! Definitely glad to be here. I definitely appreciate the compliment. I built models growing up, so was used to doing some paint work (though I'm still working on a second body to try and get it perfect) but always wanted to build an rc rig. I've had a ton of fun with it so far!

I'm still looking around trying to find some RC trucker get togethers up in my area. ( I'm up near Everett Wa. btw, still need to update my profile. lol)

Thanks again guys! I appreciate the warm welcome!

Ekim, not officially retired as I got out after 11 years due to injuries. I made it through two deployments to Afghanistan just fine but got injured during a training exercise, which ended my career. I've been out since 07' now.

I actually served on a few ships! I was on the USS Blue Ridge back in 97'. Also did a short stint on the Lincoln and with the 26th MEU in 1998-99. So I definitely have a spot for my shipmates.

Thanks again guys. :D

Always nice to see fellow service members. And glad to find a forum that deals in specifics for these types of builds. Can't wait to save up to do a few more of them. I have ideas, just have to see if I can get them to play out. LOL

Yea, I've done a lot of building over the years. I was an heavy equipment guy in the Corps, so I learned to work with what I could get my hands on and we would build out what we needed. But working with plastics to create something like a modified body and such is completely new to me. You are right though, there is a great amount of information and knowledge here that is teaching me a ton about how to do things. Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge!

I'll definitely take a look at the link! thank you! :D
