swapped a tanker trailer for an unbuilt globeliner
wanted to do something different without going overboard
cut a kinghauler grill down by removing centre section which fitted in the grill opening just needing to curve the opening to suit
next was the lights, wabting dual headlights i had a spare taillight bracket
and decided to use it when it fitted easily into the cab, just had to make lenses from clear plastic.
the chassis was cut down by around 10 cm but then added the rear parts from an aeromax.
the rear wheels are modified standard rims that i molded out of resin with chrome caps.
the cab was mounted slightly higher by putting cab mounts on top of the equpment tray instead of below
then it was painted in non-metallic colours and in a colour scheme of the 70,s to 80,s
to finish it off i used the small toolboxes from a knight hauler for the battery boxes behind the steer wheels with one of the large toolboxes mounted behind the cab.it has a set of mudflaps behind the steer wheels and an aluminium bumper bar.
also i modified the steernig with a longer arm on the steering servo, filing the brackets for the front shock absorbers for clearance and putting two small dends in the steering rod.

Got to agree there, there is nothing uglier than the stock globe grille.

Looks great, love the retro colour scheme, thats the route I'm heading with mine too!

Fantastic job!

Looks great... I like the front of the cab. Looks more like a late 1980's vintage cab over. Neat idea with the battery boxes behind the steering axel.

That really looks good pulling that white box trailer. I can picture that in one of the old truckin movies.
