View Full Version : Izzy Built Dozer
I have developed and prototyped a new dozer. Loosely based on the Stahl and kinda resembles several different dozers.
It's all electric using a firgelli to actuate the blade

Wow, that looks good! Is this going to be offered through your shop, or is it just a 'one off' for your own building and operating pleasure? The tracks and drives look awesome. It looks like it has some heft to it. Anymore specs on this machine? I like it.

A very nice model! I'm glad you have taken the time to do "mass production".

Wow,that's massive!
I like those grousers, they must provide great traction.
Thanks guys -
yes the dozer is available. I did a first prototype batch of 10 (as of today 2 still available)
Dimensions
Blade is just under 11" wide
Track centers is 6.6" or so
Overall length around 14.5"
Overall height around 9"
(grousers are 1/4" or so high
My issues uncovered at the meet were
- spring pressure in the track mech. is a little light
- Firgelli was too slow (changed out after day 1 and was much better on day 2
personal preference changes
- Added spacers on the push frame to clear the front of the tracks
- changed the pivot distance on the firgelli to increase blade travel and speed.
go to the Izzy thread for some more pics of the proto units

Added vids over on my vendor section ....
We have an Compost pile in the side yard. Over where we had been composting leaves a few years ago is a pile of 'dirt'. T has been after me for some time to spread it out over the sandy areas. So I took some vids of the 2 battery packs. Had to split the first vid into 3 in order to upload.
vid 2 - battery pack #2
