After a long absence I want to show you my latest project. Got a King Hauler at Ebay, the owner had just built the frame and had ball bearings added. I took the plastic-frame parts away and substituted them with aluminium.

As next step I cut the original Frontlights of, closed the holes and added some Pete-Style headlights from Wedico. The front-wheels are some polished bedlock-rims.

Then I started with painting the King, here´s the result:

All right, for those who are interested, here´s another view from the bottom, so you can see how I wired the SMD-LED´s:
http://www.directupload.net]http://s14.directupload.net/images/141017/ak2dat4y.jpg[/IMG]
As next step, I did the wiring for the headlights, the blinkers and the roof lights.
I always didn´t like the wires for the roof lights so visible, so I hide them this time under a custom-made sheet of plastic:

The last thing I got was the new rear-end for the frame. Now I have to come up with the right idea for the rear lights!

Finally built the rearlights. Cut them out of the rear bumper. using just the chrome lighthouses. The I built a housing around it from some scratchplastik.

Then I connected the front foglights. I can switch them on and of separately, so I can turn the on and of indepent from the rest of the lights.

Hi guys,

thanks for the compliments!!

@Tamiya cowboy: I got the LED´s from a store here in germany, it´s called conrad electronic. Don´t know where you get these ones in the states, but I´am sure they are available.

@woodhog: I never was a friend of the MFC, so I decided to get all the electronics from Servonaut, a small manufacturer here in germany. Great stuff, high quality. The price for the complete set will equal the MFC, but I can buy the components step by step, and I can combine different components the way I like. They have different speed-controllers, light-systems or sound modules.

I deal with this U.S. site all the time Paul. dependable lights, prewired, and worth every penny.

@Paul: the link for the LED´s from supermario aint bad. They are almost the same size like the ones I use and also re-wired. But over here I pay 67 euro-cent per piece, thats like 80 u.s.-cent per piece!!

Howdy carman29906,

yes, the cab is the king hauler cab. The only modifications are in both cases the lights. The grill is the original one from the kit.
