They are demoing a building but it may be too high to reach with a high reach excavator so they put a smaller machine on the roof until it gets to a level where they can reach

It happen quite often, but usually smaller machines. Still it's got to be a tad bit nerve racking!!! I think I would rather drive an ice road in spring!!

I spent 6 weeks in Japan working once and I stayed in a high rise hotel where I was looking down on a building being demolished, they had 4 machines working on top of the building like this but were only @ 12 ton, the building went from 30 stories to a flat piece of dirt in two weeks!
