Hello everyone I have been looking into this hobby for a few years now.
I decided to join and start building. I just want to say I am amazed and have great appreciation for the work and craftsmanship I have seen on this forum.
I was a toolmaker for 15 years and have a few machine tools in my garage.
I have been building r/c models out of wood for years and now it is time for me to start building out of metal. I am going to attempt to bulid a Cat 345 excavator 1:12 scale. I have started to machine parts and looking for parts
I need to buy. If there is anyone on here from middle tennessee I would like to visit with you and get some ideas and advice I need all the help I can get.
Jim

Hey woodhog what kind of shop do you have?
I worked in franklin from 96-06 and I new several people from Columbia,Lawrenceburg and Summertown. I live in Lebanon but I have been down that way several times. I go to Mississippi once a month for work and sometimes I go through Lawrenceburg on my way back. I may stop by sometime.
