Re: IRT Deadliest Roads

Yeah, I stayed up to watch it. I thought I had it bad with traffic, and tight confines...what I do makes what they're doing look like driving a tractor in a field. LOL

Re: Motor choice for a "Stock" Tamiya King Hauler...

I put a 35 turn in my truck. It does pretty good, but I'd look at a 45 turn.

Plastruct also makes diamond plate, but it's white plastic, so it'll require painting/chroming.

Re: My Kenworth T800

That's a good looking truck. I like the length, color, and the chassis layout.

My other trucks

So, I enjoy building the 1/87 scale trucks, mostly for the challenge, and whatnot. Here's a few of my completed trucks. I have more that I'm working on, which I need to get pictures of.

Re: Izzy's IH

That is a really, really nice truck!

I was wondering who owned it, since I'd seen it in so many pictures of truck meets.

Re: So what was everyone's first truck?

My first truck was a Nikko Hummer, probably 1/16th scale.

My first full on RC car was a Stampede

And my first true truck, was Big Bird, my Globeliner, so I'm going to vote box stock Tamiya.

Those are some pretty cool pictures. The cockpits of those are much more high tech then I thought they were.

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement Archives

That is awesome! I knew you had been working rigs in your basement, but I didn't realize that it was actually a construction site.

Re: I hate Tamiya three speeds

Mine wasn't end points though, I have the linkage perfectly dialed in, I have the endpoints on my radio dialed to perfection as well, it shifted just fine, but second was completely gone...I guess it...

Re: My Pet peeve

I haven't had any problems with them, or Fedex, for the most part. Though I prefer USPS. I ordered a frame for my Globeliner, was hoping it'd come that day, but it wasn't in the mail, so I figured...

This is an awesome truck. Good job on it, and that must've been cool to drive it in.

Re: Ok, It's been long enough.

Ouch, that doesn't sound very good...What're your ideas for a paint job on it?

And what kind of truck do you have, anyways? Good luck.

Re: My Globeliner build "Big Bird"

Romelio- Thanks. You should sell the Knight Hauler and get a Globeliner. :D

Trucker- Thanks, I have the raven on two of my trucks, but they're not my design, I picked a bunch up from Ebay for a...

Re: I hate Tamiya three speeds

Well, drove the truck around for a good couple hours, did some full throttle starts, slamming the truck from gear to gear, and it worked everytime, so something was fouling it up, but I have no...

Re: My first truck

I've never seen one of the metallic kits in non-stock photos. They actually look kind of cool. Get some shots of it glowing in the sun for us! That would be truly epic, in my opinion. Nice rig.

Re: Bruder Truck-Mounted Flatbed

Though I guess if you went to town on painting and detailing the chassis, because you want to park it on top of a mirror, then I guess you have an excuse. Unless you intend to make a tilt bed, or...
