Re: Mack DM800 Dump

A plow would be quite fitting for this truck. Seams every big township on the east coast had a large mack plow truck. I had a job about 15 years ago driving a RD mack with a plow. Never did find a...

Re: Bruder Loader conversion to RC Doozan

Very cool build.

Question?

Will it have the needed weight to lift a full load in the bucket? Just something to think about. Even the real machines get light in the rear with a full scoop.

Looks great with all the extra details. I really like the way you captured the look of a old DM Mack. Hope your diffs are locked in because that truck should go thru anything looking that tuff and...

Re: Mack DM800 Dump

Looks great man! really looks like a mean old dog.

Think it would look great with some old school spokes on her. Most of those DM Mack's were heavy spec.

Re: Benny's R Model Mack

Looks like a tuff old dog. Great job on all the detail parts.

Does the camelback articulate good. I have been tinkering with rubber blocks on the strings to get the side to side articulation

Re: Benny's R Model Mack

Truck is look in good. Yes that 3D texture is pretty harsh!

when I built my 3D printed Macks I had to notch out the passenger side of the cowl so I could get the air cleaner pipe thru the hood. I...

Re: need a geardrive

I think you need to know what motor you will be using as the higher the turn the slower the max RPM...

Regardless I used a 4:1 reduction with a stock Tamiya motor in one of my first builds and it...

Re: Oshkosh M1070 8X8 Dump Truck

Legal Payload would not exceed 1/2 that box due to the weight of the truck. This would be an off road site truck only if you wanted to make money with it.

Looks ex military tank transporter.

Re: 1:1 gravel pit sorting and stacking

Around here we have lots of recycled concrete plants that will use a machine like that. They even use them on large road projects to recycle the concrete and asphalt.

they way it works at a plant...

Re: Mikes Mack

Looking good mike.

One thing I had to do was to cut the stock cab floor so the back of the Mack cab can rest on the frame . I glued the hood and cab together and hinged it at the front. This way...

Re: Mack R model ten wheeler dump

I will get some pics of the under side. I used low pro servos and then moved the motor/gear box forward so that the motor sits over the servos.

I shortened the shift control rod its only about...

Re: Mack R model ten wheeler dump

Buy the high build primer at the auto parts store. 3 or 4 coats and let dry A few days between coats. The paint really soaks in to this 3d plastic.

Re: Mack R model ten wheeler dump

Hi Mike sorry I missed your question

To move the front axel simply move it ahead of the rivet and lock it down. I use the stock springs with just a single leaf. I remove the 2 helper springs so I...

Re: Tamiya Stock Motor

the more I used it the weaker the motor became. It was gutless on anything but flat surface. I do tend to be a little harsh on my Trucks and push them to the limit.

For example the stock Tamiya...

Re: Tamiya Stock Motor

I agree the stock motors are good. Just the gearing makes them fast. I had a stock tamiya motor in my 6 wheel dump truck and it will spin all wheels fully loaded with clay when the axel is locked and...

Just my .02 here on the RC4wd motors..... They are not really up to the task of hauling a heavy trailer. I found they are gutless when trying to pull up a hill and put to much of a draw on the speed...

Re: Tamiya Stock Motor

you can try a Trintigy Lathe motor in the 55,65 or 85 turn that should slow you down a bit. the higher the turn the slower the RPM of the motor.

Or install a reduction unit.
