Gettin dangerous fellas!!!

Only took me about 3 years to finally set this crap up. Just got done with a machining class at the local community college so I know enough to make parts finally.







Those are the Taig Micro units. Got most of my tooling and just made an order for the rest I need. Not sure on plans for future cnc conversion. Doubtful but who knows.

You might be surprised how reasonable these units are JD. (It's the tooling/accessories that'll kill ya!)

yep a new chuck for my lathe cost as much as that mill Nate , keep your tools .25" or under and it'll doo alright for you . Mine groans and walks around a little with steel or heavy cuts . did you get the lil fly cutter with it ? keep it in the box . Although , I doubt you'll push yours like I did mine and still doo when I use it . I mostly leave it set up for A/C mounting holes . I'm not to sure what the other machine is ( you doo know I'm breaking stones right ) congrats

Have the fly cutter on order. I'll take it easy when in use. I'm pretty patient when it comes to removing material so we should be good.

Got a bunch of tooling in the mail and thought I'd snap pics of the other stuff while I was at it.

Rotary table, radius cutter, lathe mill attachment, compound, parallels, indicator, screw machine length drill set, knurling tool, and more.


Soon to be replaced Compressor (loudest thing on earth!)


Craftsman 15" Bandsaw. Has served me well. Saws loose teeth pretty easy though.


An HF unit would probably be a better buy than this POS

WOW!! Looks like you have about everything covered What air compressor are you looking at to repalce the existing one? I need 1 and sure don't want a noisy one.

Rural King has an IR 80 gallon that's pretty reasonably priced. Just stay the **** away from an oilless unit, that's what this one is.

I've heard really good things about Eaton Compressors so I'll probably end up with one of those.

I have a craftsman 60g stand up and i love it. I have put it to its tests time and time again with impact wrenches and air chisels and its held up well. Ive had it about 3 years now and still not issue..

You want quieter go with screw type compressor. Certainly not cheap but they have other advantages too.

I had my 7.5hp 80gal Eaton compressor for 5 years now and wouldn't waste my time with the IR in the same size. There Customer service is great and you can pick your color. I had mine done in Cummins tan .

i have one also and mine is over 20 years old and runs like new
i just change the oil and replace air filters and it will run two impacts and not run all of the time
i used for a couple of years building stock dirt cars ,that was the heaviest use i have used it for

Nice! Just about everything a hobbiest could use to build some great models. That's a great bunch of equipment! I know how much I enjoy using my mini mill. You'll love having one.
