Hello folks, I was hoping to get opinions as to weather purchase a crawler motor or stock Tamiya motor and a gru for my grand hauler?
Thank you Tim |

Depends on what you want to do. A 65t motor will
Slow you down. But a stock motor and a pmd gru Will slow you down and add a butt load or torque |

This is my first build, I don't see myself as trying to pull anything heavy. At this point I don't have a trailer. I'm trying to stay budget minded with this yet not sell myself short.

Replacing the motor is the easiest thing to do and it saves buying a new drive shaft to the correct length you need as the GRU will make the gearbox longer.
And if your fitting a MFU later or to the build remember to buy a brushed motor........
