I am not really sure what forum to post this one in.
Many years ago when I was really into the semi trucks I had 3 trucks and about 10 trailers so i thought it would be fun to build up a yard switcher. There was a ton of trial and error to get the proportions correct and i stumbled on the cheap china knock offs. A friend of mine found one at a yard sale thought of me and picked it up. After looking at the cheap truck I figured out a way to use the front and rear end ![]() ![]() Once I had the chassis kind of figured out it was time to start on the body ![]() ![]() and thats how it set for years but once I took it out of storage and looked at it again I didnt like how it looked when it all fit together so i made some changes and this is how it came out ![]() ![]()

Once i got that far I realized I need a place to put the electronics and battery so had to add this
![]() ![]() Once that was done I wanted to get a little more realistic and took care of a back door ![]() ![]() Now it has a little paint and changed out the wheels with tamiya rims ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks Big John I used to be really bad with styrene work but after spending the past few years rebuilding my old volkswagens I have had a lot of practice with fabrication.
Yes that Bruder was stretched I cant remember how long it was i think it was scaled to a 45' trailer. |
