Izzy I think it comes down to where you live and work and which Gov't regulations will reflect the names you call it. To me it is a pusher axle is pushed down the road, in front of the drives, a tag axle is pulled down the road behind the drives.. On a trailer I do nod think it makes a difference they are lift axles...

Both can be a lift axle..
