I like the your method of mounting the body from the 2 uprights. You could hide the mounting screws under a couple of air vents.

I just try to keep it simple. The servo mounts are done that way on a lot of rc cars in fact I thought I had some plastic ones left over but i didn't and made those out of aluminum
