Hey Greg, Nice job on the D8. I'm curious, how thick are the side plate's on the main frame. I'm trying to decide if 1/8'' aluminum is thick enough? Working on resurecting my
1-7.5 Cat D4H project. I like your choice of drive motor's, I think I'll try some.

Thanks Neil I was very happy with the results of the D8R. I use 3/16 or 1/4 on the side frames as that is the main structure to the whole model, also it is nice to be able to counter sink your bolts on the side's of the machine as that is the angle that is in view the most..
