i'm no lawyer but from what ive read and heard. if tamiya makes the original and you copy it and change a few key parts lets say Rims, grill, head lights and one or two other small changes then its not a 100% ripoff... this is mostly from my dealing with guns colts 1911's ar-15's VS kimber,dpms and so on But i still want the knock off globe liner for a project and DO NOT want to buy a case of them!!!
