Perhaps you could use some of this hinge.
http://www.micromark.com/SearchResul...chPhrase=hinge I don't know many guys who use hold downs on the hood. Probably not necessary, but if you really wanted to have them, you could use a really small o-ring and simply hook it to the hood. Or scratchbuild a scale latch.
