Rob, you're moving right along and man it looks good. What is the ETA on this build? I can't wait anymore. We have to get together again, soon.

Hey Joe, its good to hear from ya. I am working on the cab and interior....today, I painted the inside with the sand tone, tomorrow I will prime and paint the outside. I made the windows and got them on the dorrs today. If the weather holds as far as temp. and low humidity, this should all be done by the wknd.

This looks really wonderful!
The care you took in the appearance of the circle gearbox and the lattice(?) work on the back of the moldboard-carrier - sweet! How strong is the circle rotation? Last edited by JensR; 05-06-2011 at 11:12 AM. |

90% complete....I still have several pieces to make and add some lights. Finish detailing the cab interior, add details to the control column and make arms rest for the seat.

Rob, You have truely outdone yourself this time!
Except for the wood beams in the engine compartment, there is no way a persone would or could know that it is made from wood. This tops your sprayer and your cotton bale truck combined!! Now I just need to see it in person!

Truly a museum masterpiece. But you've taken the next step and made it operate as well. What have you got on your plate to top this one.

Wonderful
![]() Had seen the video before (or one like it?) but not the details of the cab. IMO that level of detail just puts this over the top (in a good way)! |

What a great model - looks, operation, detail - all just awesome. I'd never believe it started life as a tree! Wood is such an unexpected medium for a working machine, but when done so well, who'd a thunk it!Kudos for such a wonderful project! Ken

The Cat Personnel have been very supportive. The want to put a write-up in the compnay news letter. I am also planning a trip to the 14M factory down in Little Rock, which is about 2 hrs from me. I think that will be exciting.
It's time to start the testing phase. I noticed the discussion about the blade and the circle board being able to hold. Mine will have to cut loose dirt....as i used the same setup on the worm gear.....only difference is my box is made of wood. When i find me another machinest, i will get the gearbox made correctly.
