I was digging through some of my... "Childhood toys" today and came across this Ertl model. I'm not sure that it is the same as what you're building but it reminded me of your project.

Reg, looks like you've been playing a lot with the little Payhauler!
 I have 4 of those in my collection, plus several more my boys played with as kids (now are 32 & 29). Also have some Hough 560 loaders to go with them. It's amazing what we hang on to, then re-discover later and have such good memories with them.Travelling this week, so may get some time to work on the cab and hood of my truck. Ken
