Re: RCT&C Midwest Spring Meet
Just in case anybody's still not sure they are going to make it yet, Best Western told me at noon today that they had plenty of rooms for Friday and Saturday, I'd still call ahead but it didnt sound like they were going to be booked. I'll probably get there about six.

Re: RCT&C Midwest Spring Meet
I want to give a big thanks to Nate for a wonderfull weekend we all had a greate time. For those that did not show up we got to see a demenstation of a fuel pwered RC jet which was just amazing, the only bad part was Nate ended up playing buy himself for a little while as we stoped to watch the jet. O and the food was amazing as well.
Thanks Nate.

Re: RCT&C Midwest Spring Meet
Nate...This event was truely great. The location was perfect and the Eli field grounds were way above my expectation. Thanks for hosting this event
I think we all Had a great time be it working on trucks in the hanger or running in the dirt pile. All day Saturday We had about 2-3 machines and 2-3 dump trucks running at any one time. Some times even more. I didn't get any pics as I had left my camera at home but I know others did. I hope we can do this again in the fall months. Thanks again everyone for making this event great. |

Re: RCT&C Midwest Spring Meet
Thanks Nate for putting this together and Izzy and Travis for helping the previous weekend. Also would like to thank the Horizon Hobbies Upper management for such a nice facility and the chance to be able to enjoy it . Also thanks to Mr Pete for cooking for us and the great hospitality. I appreciate everyone for looking after Liam and accepting and youngster in an adult hobby he had a great time and was wore out on the trip back home. I am glad that the hobby will have a permanent work site and will be perfect for the hobby just like our friends from across the pond. looking forward to the next meet there.

Re: RCT&C Midwest Spring Meet
Everyone - awesome - just awesome. The site is great - a little hard on the smaller models but if you pay attention it's not too bad.
Special thanks to the cook - local club president - great food! Thanks to Nate for the leg work of finding us another home. FYI there's enough carpets in the hanger we could bring in rubber for the smaller models. The dirt pile stays forever! WoooHoooo. Check it out http://www.elifield.com/ As for the dozer - exceeded my expectations - we found that the 100:1 firgelli with a modified upper link was critical. The track tensioner springs need to be heavier and a saber tooth 2x12 is plenty of speed control. Everyone had a go at the controls as much as they wanted and nobody seemed to be complaining. Based on how they did in dirt - I suspect Indy will be a blast. Izzy |
