There is a long piece that bolts to bottom of fifth wheel from what I can tell and actuates the trailer leg mechanism. It may be connected to the servo on truck as well.

Made a bit more progress, Been doing alot of tweaking with the torch on the front deck to try and get it straight and flat. Think i got it close enough.

I'm not sure yet, I'm guessing 15-25lbs. The 20ft piece of steel i started with weighed 17lbs and i won't use all of it but with the extras it will add up.

I got a bit more done today while i was waiting for vac truck to show up. Have all 4 rails done now with the exception of the holes in outside rails.

That's a nice little trailer, Simple to make by the looks of it too. I would of made it dump width wise instead of length so it would be good for building little roads.

Well i started on it a bit today, got my two inner frame rails and scissors cut today. Also made a template 2275 Here are the rails 2276 And finally, two of the scissor pieces.

I got the steel today, And put together a couple of rough drawing. The steel is 1x1/2x1/8 an was a dollar a foot. Will sure be strong! One of the drawings is 1:1 and the other is converted to 1:14

Thank you for your reply tyler, What is the standard size for frame rails? I've gotta pick up some plate steel from the steel shop so i'll ask what size channel they've got.
