So while waiting for my Dumper kit to arrive from Germany, I decided I wanted to build something from scratch, or should I say, take a kit and adapt it to become a Scania 10*8*6
Everyone must know of Hemi1966 off youtube, if not look here http://www.youtube.com/user/Hemi1966, you’ll be amazed at his engineering/building skills, I know I was. After a few emails were exchanged, Ari agreed for me to take/copy/borrow his ideas and build my own version of his Scania tipper. So off I go on to the web and order a Scania R620 kit as a donor, plus lots of various other bits as well, its quite surprising how many other bits you do need! This is what I want it to look like when finished - this is Ari's Scania ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So this is what it looked like last week when it arrived ![]() After 2 evenings working and a trip to the hardware store it looked liked this, the front leafs are from a F350 hence a little too tall, I have truck ones on order! The really observant among you will also notice the two front axles are of the none steering type! They are also on order! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Another evenings work ☺ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And that is as far as I have got so far! Still a long way to go.. Waiting for other bits to arrive…
