There are some things that could confuse the esc like.. stick position when you plug it in. Did you add the spring loaded centering to the throttle? It calibrates every time you power up so, make sure the stick is neutral when you plug in the battery.

Is it always forward that stops working? If so, is the travel adjustment and expo the same for forward as reverse?

I bought the esc from robotmarket place and if you call them they might have an idea of why it does that sometimes. Hardware wise these dual esc's are great and I have never seen one fail (knock on wood:-) so, I am sure there is a simple explanation for the software hiccup.
