Default Re: Motor choice for a "Stock" Tamiya King Hauler...

You may look into an LRP Puller Motor....

PMD/Garden Trucking sells them for a very decent price considering it's a German-made motor (second item down)...

http://www.gardentrucking.com/produc...x=5&startAt=36

And LRP's even come out with a 2nd and 3rd variation to this motor as well, now including a brushless option....

http://www.lrp.cc/en/products/electr...s/car/brushed/

They don't list the 'turns' of the motor online, on the box, etc.....but from what I've seen/heard these motors are 80T. But don't let that scare you into thinking the truck will creep along like a snail....with the stock pinion you'll be fine.

Hope this helps,
-Alex
