Yeah too much amps was my first big mistake too. I went to a local guru and asked what I was doing wrong and he quickly pointed that out. Sometimes it seems like heating the object slowly does the trick and other times it needs a quick blast of heat. I have yet to master when to use each procedure... Practice does make us better though and so does determination. I know I will never be really good at it but I keep trying and get lucky every now and then.

Dad always told me to watch the puddle to much heat and you can see a sink hole forming thats when you back off . I just wish I had the foot peddle and not the thumb dial . Every time I need to back off I dip the tungsten in
