My favorite part is when the guy actually mentions " fuel savings" !! ![]() Imagine how much fuel this thing must drink in a shift ![]() Ugly looking thing.... But, who said hauling 450 tons had to be pretty. ![]() Mario |

Truck has two engines, but when running empty one shuts down - guess that's the fuel savings?!? Did you notice how it steers? Both axles are solid (no steering knuckles) but are mounted on really big swing bearings like an excavator and rotate in opposite directions via hydraulic cylinders - kind of like an articulated wheel loader without the hinged main frame. Ultra cool!
A truck engineer friend of mine (from the old Haulpak group) once told me the perfect truck was one you loaded all day and then made one trip at the end. This Belza truck is apparently trying to be that truck. Certainly an amazing engineering and manufacturing accomplishment. Ken
