Andy,

A couple of suggestions...
- move the fifth wheel further forward, possibly just before the middle axle.... It will require a long neck on the trailer or dolly, but will ensure more weight is over the front axle.
- on the dolly, make sure you are transferring some weight to the truck, otherwise traction will be a problem..

Finally is the reduction box behind the main box, or between the motor and the gearbox?

its been a busy night, decided I didn't like the dolly so with a bit of hacking and painting I have a result Im happy with.
truck pulls great and no more issues with under steer, just got to figure out how to revere the thing.

any way heres some picts








postman also showed up with some bruder construction sets, makes the pit look like we take health and safety seriously.
