if you drive slowly, under load, or go on soft surfaces, then you will increase the level of stress on the steering......so I would recommend the metal geared servos.

If you just want to run up and down the street on a hard concrete/ asphalt surface, then you can get away with a cheaper servo.

One option is to go with cheaper servo, then upgrade if you break it
