I have taken apart a number of printers over the past few years to steal gears, rollers and motors but when I took apart this one I discovered something new(to me).
This HP printer had an 8ohm speaker which looks like it would work nicely with a sound unit. Just thought I would share this info with my fellow hoarders... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That's funny cause I can't look at a printer without wondering what gears and motor combo it has. Its always fun taking them apart anyways. Its just a plus to get some parts!

Too funny, I am always tearing everything apart no matter what kind of appliance it is. If its done with there always might be that one good part for a build 10 years from now. LMAO!! Wife and family think I an half crazy.

Haha, yep I've taking stuff apart since I was a little kid and stashing it. The good thing for me is that my parents have the same mindset so they never throw anything out either. The stuff I hoarded as a kid is still stored away! The challenge is remembering where it is. My in-laws used to throw everything away but they have seen how much stuff I make use of and now they are saving me things as well. I love it!

LOL All the wiring harnesses in my Kenworth are from Ricoh copiers, and the lift gate on my trailer is made with parts from the large paper lift tray. Old copiers and printers are a treasure of parts!!!!
