So as it turns out the KAT is only good for a template..
made up a new set of booms out of 3mm sheet and welded them up. I have predrilled the pivot points but will make up some brass bushes and stainless shafts. This isn't turning out to be a ten minute job. a little CAT code paint make it look better ![]() add one new boom set up and a new steel bucket. ![]() ![]() ![]() and the 4200's new look ![]() cheers andy |

Looking good Andy. Always nice to have a second digger. I really like the 4200 upgrades. The cat walks is a nice touch.

I can't remember, do you have an interior in the 4200? And have you seen this? I just discovered a few days ago..

yes the track tensioners need looking at, hopefully just full of dirt ![]() I have seen that interior and at 89 pounds , nearly $250 kiwi that wont happen anytime soon ![]() the cab on the 4200 is a cheap ebay special, quite a bit smaller than the standard but it came with a complete interior. ![]() cheers andy |
