First off I had to lower the steps with longer screws and some spacers out of an old k'nex set. Then made plastic spacers that were screwed to the floor of the cab and sleeper. I made the light bars out of 1/2 inch alum. angle with 1/8 inch holes drilled for the 3mm LEDs. I wired the LEDs in series of 4 and hooked them to a battle switch that is mounted in the passenger step. Then I screwed them to the plastic spacers. Also had to relocate the antenna inside the sleeper because the spacers covered up the hole.

My vote is for the grand hauler. As far as what trailer I don't know yet I started gathering stuff for an air ride spread running gear. I could put a lot of lights on a reefer but then again hauling stuff on a flatbed would be fun too

There really is no purpose other than I think it looks better. The stock truck kinda looks like it has a set back axle which I never cared for.

I've been trying to get a trailer put together and wanted to show everybody. I am starting with a flat bed as a donor. Then I had the guys at work shear me up some aluminum, 1/8 inch for the top and bottom and 20ga pre-painted white for the sides. I also got 8 of the little round magnet cups to use for my "air bags". Angle, channel, springs, and 6-32 machine screws all came from the hardware store.

First some mock-up pics to show what I'm going for.

Here is all my pieces parts.

This is the front.

Here is the back with the D.O.T. bumper.

That's what I've got so far. I'm planning on getting some stainless for the front and the doors. I also was going to use black balloons to cover the springs so they look like air bags.

Thanks, Mike

Hey guys I'm sorry it has taken me so long to post updates, but I've gotten my truck and trailer about 90% done. Still need to wire up the landing gear and trailer plug. I am also going to change out the tail lights with the regular Tamiya trailer lights. Sorry the phone pics are not the greatest but there is several of them.

Well that's what I've got. The back doors don't open so I made the roof lift off with Velcro tabs. I also want to do camlocks on the back.

Nice work Mike. If I ever get mine back together and it quits raining we will need to find a place to run them.
