Hands down, best build up I've seen. Nice it is a sizable kit to pack in what your up to. But one heck of a build up. Nice work.

Wow thanks for the compliment! Im pretty proud of this one. Ive managed to turn a standard kit build into a build more labor intensive then anything I've done ever done. Lucky me! Lol. This being an 1:8 scale has made it a bit easier to hide stuff for sure. But Im still on the fence about a sound unit. It comes down to smaller battery with a sound unit or no sound unit and a big battery... Im still mulling this over, and looking for ways to maybe get both.

Found some time to work on the wiring a bit.
Finished up the front lights. Hi/Lo beams, parking lights, and turn signals. The turn signal lights will only function as hazard lights as im not really that fond of turn signals tied to the steering. ![]() If anyone is wondering this is the light controller I'm using from Al. (Heyok) ![]() Finished up the wiring behind the dash. I hid what I could here. The only components left to hide are the rx and esc. And I have some plans to hide them in the engine bay. ![]() I also saw it fit to cover the back side of the dash panel with some electrical tape. The light from the led's in the dash was bleeding into the engine bay and through the vents in the cowl. ![]() |

Finally received all parts I've been waiting on, so getting back at this. I decided to try out the sound unit Capo sells for this. Standard Sense unit is all it is. After watching a couple videos of it in action, I decided to give it a try. Though in keeping with the "scale" nature of this build, it needed to be concealed in a clever way, along with the battery. Which is another feat all its own. For some reason I feel the need to stuff the largest battery possible into my builds. Its tough to hide things on this due the fact that everything is open. Engine bay, interior, trunk area etc. Here's what I have come with in an effort to keep it scale. Something along the lines of a Tuffy storage box. Heres the 1:1 inspiration.
![]() I started by hacking into the Sense sound unit to make it fit into my dimensions. I had to shorten it, and flip the board around so I could still have access to the buttons. ![]() ![]() ![]() Then I built a box around it. ![]() Just enough room to hold the battery and connectors. The speaker points out the side. ![]() Mounted to the floor with m3 bolts and nuts. The battery is held down with velcro tape, and the lid with magnets. ![]() Final results. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
