I use the springs out of sheet rock anchors. You can get them at any hardware store.

When I upgraded my trailers from manual to motorized legs is when I found the perfect spring inside the manual legs for the 5th wheel.
Petermobolin has a great idea using the drywall anchor springs! Thanks for sharing that one.
