I have a UPS distribution center 5 miles from my house. I get pachages quite often and I've never had a problem. So far when I ship, I only ship USPS Priority Mail. And to me it's fairly cheap.
And UPS always puts my packages in our inclosed porch. Population of our town, 6200. So maybe it's a small town thing. Plus I know the delivery guy. That prolly helps a smidge.

I have a distribution center fairly close to my house also, so no problems here really. Except for the 50 year old UPS drivers who glare at you when they drive by and chew you out when your ball "almost hits they're back tire"!
