Been on a two wheeler since I was twelve & now I'm fifty two. Have been through a pile of bikes,2 & 4 wheel. Also have been in the hospital MANY times cause of them. But that was in my younger days when fast & booze where the only way we rode. The more booze, the faster we went!
Well them days are behind me now,& I ride nice & easy on a road couch.

Actually just bought this bike two months ago,had across country run planned & couldn't quite do it with the bike I had.Softtails are nice, but much over three hrs in the seat of this baby.Your done!

So I traded her in on the couch,& glad I did! Took a 2000 mile trip on er,& loved every smooth mile of it.

That Springer was my favorite st bike ever.It killed me to get rid of it!
I ordered that bike in 04 & it only seen water once in it's life time,& that was when the dealer boned up & washed it after a service.
Here's a couple of pics of what the bike looked like the day I traded her in.

It had 8000 miles on it,the boys at Harley kept askin me if I ever rode it.

I grew up on a farm and had many motorcycles and mini bikes. I have some pics of the last few bikes I have owned.

With the exception of the whizzer bike I bought all of them from new.

1998 Honda Shadow

2005 Heritage Springer

2007 KLX250S

The only bike I have now is a 1946 Whizzer Bike

My next bike will be either a Heritage Softail with a hydraulic front end (didn't like the springer front end) or an Ultra Classic.

Freddy

You ol guys are all the same. You sound like my ol man...he just bought that exact bike down to the color. Him and his buds took a 2000 mile ride around the west coast. Said he loves it. He kept his hot rods for the trips around town though. Think my comments of him acting his age got to him
