They aren't diecast but Ertl's Big Farm lineup includes (2) 1:16 excavators (John Deere and Hitachi) for around $50 each...
![]() ![]() Saw a few of the Deere versions in Iowa at the National Toy Show this weekend.....to be honest the boom/stick seemed pretty flimsy but the cab and counterweight portions seemed like they'd make a nice base for a conversion. -Alex

Claus,Yea kinda want something a little more 1:1 lookin.
Alex,you didn't happen to get a card or name of the vender selling the deere? Looks like the only thing I would use,would be the cab & engine cover. The rest I would make out of aluminum. Yea Alex,if you know how I can get my scratchers on one,That would be just peachy! Thanks Guys! FGD

Can't find the Hitachi version, but it seems the Deere is still listed on the european webshop : Deere online shop
