Great setup and equipment, I really do need to find the time to come over and check things out, if nothing else to see how much space and plumbing is involved with the hydraulics so I can plan the layout in my ladder truck.

Greg Thats looks great cutting your own path through the trees. Lou's truck sure carries a good load. Have you guys ever thought about doing some heli logging.

Hey fred I tossed it around my mind a few times ...I swamped on one in my earlier years...May have to start collecting some dynamite at holoween lol

Great vids greg ...Boy that D8 moves alot of dirt in a short time ..You made up a log landing in about 10 minutes .

Rob I have to admit, I have been looking at my RC Helicopter collecting dust for the last 4 years since I started the construction modeling hobby. I think the neighbors would not like the noise of the OS 50 screeming in the back yard. Maybe a electric machine with some good lift

I've got an Eflite Hughs 500 coax that has lots of lift. I'll have to put a hook on it and try lifting some dowels to see how much it'll pick up. That might be something different flying the logs into the dry land sort.

I use the air cylinders they sell, I must say they work just fine and I have never replaced any due to oil leaks...
I do prefer the Mcmaster-Carr as the die is smaller so it has less oil in the cylinder (volume ), which inturn makes the cylinder move faster..

the question should be what don't I operate lol, I operate everything at my work, but mostly Excavator and Dozer. if your ever around the new uptown walmart in victoria, you will probably see me swinging around in the excavator. I will be there for the next year working on phase 2

I had some equipment out working today, had some fall clean up to do. The tomatoes are done for this season and it was time to clean up the plants..
Not sure if the cylinders on the hoe are starting to leak because it was cooler outside or just to much wear and tare.. Had to punch in a road to the back of the yard. You can see the plants in the back of the photo. I used the thumb on the hoe to pile up plants.
