I want to thank everyone who use's this forum, it has been a great help to me. Just yesterday i was reading a few threads and discovered that the 5th wheel switch effects the power delivered to the motor through the MFU..... I had never bothered to install the switch originally because i thought it was for sound effects only. Seeing as my truck was all apart when i discovered this info, i took the time to install and to my amazement, it does make a difference! Thanks again guys!

So here is my chance to share some info / insight of my own..... If anyone out there is thinking bout buying a 4:1 gear reduction drive for their truck, go for it!...money well spent i say!
My truck can now be driven slow, smooth and with tons of torque. Can drive from a smooth to rough or bumpy surface without having to drastically change throttle position. And in the future, if i want all that crazy speed back, it's real eazy to remove unit and reinstall original driveline!......way, way in the future.No plans to do so but nice to know that no original parts are damaged or modified for installation.

Just so were all clear.... I never knew this would happen, check out the lighting effect under the chassis since I installed the 4:1 gearbox..... I like it

thanks for the vid!!! Loved it!! i had to go to your youtube page to see the night one. now it makes me want to upload the 10+ vids of my truck to you tube... how are you liking the 4:1? is there a big difference? im on the fence of getting one

Glad you enjoyed the vids. I love the 4:1 , very happy with it. The difference is amazing. The truck is much more controllable. Slow, smooth power with lots of torque. You can drive on a smooth to bumpy or rough terrain without having to give more throttle. You may have noticed how slow I was moving in the video, that was second gear and just easing the stick forward.

Another thing I like is the fact that all you do is drill 2 holes in the frame rails, that's it no mods no grinding. If you ever want to go back to that super crazy speed you can, just remove drive and install original driveshaft which can be done in less than 30 minutes..

4:1 = money well spent.

Really love the video, super bling. I've been thinking of getting a 4:1 myself, after all the hard work of building and detailing I want slow.
Not to hijack your thread, I had a metallic king, and I sent it to a guy that made a peterbilt 379-X for me. Well he screwed me out of it and some other things, and all together I was screwed out of between $10 and $12,000.00.
Lesson learned, keep track of everything...I thought he was a friend.
Anyhoo, I love your truck.
