Steve, the bed looks great. I really like the sides too. Looks a lot like an East smooth side welded aluminum dump box to me. Whether or not that is what you have your sights set on, for modeling, I'm not sure. I don't know what the coal tubs are built from, but it looks really nice.

thanks Nate , I kinda muti-bred this box
 most smooth sides around here have a narrowed/short cab protector - none . the body is pretty much done , I got lil details to doo yet like coal shoot, steps, gate latches, and tarp . I'm not sure about polishing yet  thinking of weathering it . I am getting a crazy thought about making the cab out of aluminum or brass  body mounted with a temp. vovo t bar susp I'm still up in the air on the walking beam verses chalmers
