Every boat club and car club I have been involved in was always the same. Just a very small group of people you could count on. Maybe as word gets around more people will participate. Ed told me he had a problem with someone stepping on and damaging the trail cable to the shovel. The idea of people around these models would make me very nervous. Just a thought- Maybe you should consider roping off the area and only allow modelers inside the ropes. This might protect the models and allow the operators to do there thing and not have to worry about anything getting damaged. The spectators could still get close enough to see good.
