Default Side dump, useing some first run shop parts

Awhile back, built a side dump trailer from scratch. Seems a few people really liked it. So figured maybe see if these can be made w/out costing a fortune. Took my first one into shop, made a few changes,& had them make up some parts for this baby.
Picked up the formed & lazered parts a few days ago & started to build another trailer.
First the frame assembly.

Should of had them make this plate for king pin,but wasn't sure if I was going to taper the frame the same as the last one. So had to make this one,it's some long long cuts w/a scroll saw.

This one is a triple axle like the last, but this time gunna run floaters on the front axle. Not quit sure if I like the looks of it.

Thanks for lookin!

I agree with you on the looks of the front axle. I don't recall ever seeing a trailer with floats on the front axle. I have seen some with a lifting 3rd axle with floats. Either way this is still a sweet trailer. Are you still going to use hydros or linear actuators?

I like what you are doing with my trailer but I dont like the float front axle needs to be a normal front axle not a single.

Perfect! That's the ticket. Boy, if you start doing these in Wedico or 1/16 scale, I'll want one!

very sweet!!!

also in your picture

I saw trailers like that on my way up to Edmonton, Alberta. At first i was like what the heck are they doing?? then now you say floaters i think i get it. I dont get is why a trailer from the deep south would be up here in the deep north with floaters lol.
