I am about to build a King Hauler and need to paint the chrome parts a different colour... now the question is regards to prep. Can I prep it like any other plastic part or do I have to use a different primer or remove the chrome altogether.
Im not a newb to paint, prep or for that matter R/C and trucks but I am new to painting over chrome. |

Have to remove chrome. I use oven cleaner spraying parts on newspaper.
Others use different things. Wash and rinse well. Joe

Soak it in Castrol Super Clean, it will remove the chrome without harming the plastic, then you can prime and paint.
