Hi just thought I'd post a few pics of some hydraulic tinkering which will hopefully end up in a dozer build. Thanks to the many other members who have posted info on hydraulic systems. Tolerances at the moment are a bit hit and miss so I'm only going to make the one cylinder for now and do a bit of testing before I end up with a handfull of leaking cylinders.

I spent a bit more time on the build today. Resigned myself to the fact that this is going to take some time! A little more than I thought before I started. I'm going to blank the second function off and carry out some testing with the valve that is almost completed. Have to wait for some hose and a tap to arrive in the post.
Next on the list is a pump. Can anyone help me with the gear sizes of the smaller end pumps? OD and H. What RPM are the gear pumps run at? |

Hi, can anyone help me with what a "realistic" speed of a 14.5:1 bulldozer should move at in meters/min or feet/min. I will start a new thread of the build under construction equipment soon but will keep this one for random tech questions
