pump flow for cylinder size

im scratch building a hoe that will hopefully resemble approximately a 390 size in 1/14..i work with hydraulics on a daily but im just not all to sure about the requirements for such small stuff...basically the pump is a premacon 900ml per min with relief valve, and im planning on using 7/8 cylinders from clippard, what i want to know is will the pump work for this size of cylinder or should i go a touch smaller, the goal is to have as much power as i can but still remain fairly quick. any help is much appreciated

You running this pump on 3s? 900ml/min seems a bit low.

My Vario uses probably the same pump and on 4s it seems a bit slow sometimes when operating all 4cyls at once. I'm running close to 35bar, which is pushing my luck to blow a hose! but so far no problems.

i was planning 4s, i guess go one notch smaller then eh

A notch smaller? as in cylinder bore?

The stick cyl is 22mm, which is nearly equal to 7/8; while the dual boom & bucket cyls are smaller... maybe 18mm... can't recall exactly, pretty sure it's 18mm.

18mm is good enough for bucket power, but depending on length of boom & stick & the weight of the two arms, plus what attachments you might use (my screener bucket is really heavy when full of dirt), dual 20's would be better.

yeah sorry i ment one notch smaller in the bore cylinder ive been thinking of using 7/8s for the stick and 9/16 for the rest but the difference is somewhat large..though doing one to scale it only needs to be 1/2..i just want to make sure that it will have good power
