I'm not new to r/cs but I am new to any kind of builds. I got a lot of great info and have seen some wicked builds. I run a lowboy all day and now it will be at home to, lol. I am starting with a globe liner build and I ordered some frame extensions. Biggest question is can anyone give me a measurement from the front of the rail where I should make my cut. Thanks guys

I am not 100 percent sure but i think the way it is made it can be after your tank mount but before the suspension mount( trunion). I have seen the extension but didnt look that close how it is made. I hope this helps a little cant wait for your build and welcome to the board :D

Thanks, hopefully some one cut it and could chime in. I don't want to make a weak point. Its a lot of fun. I am building this one for my kids 7th b-day. He loves stretched cabovers. He's a good driver though. Once I get this done I'm going to build a heavy hauler for myself.

I stretched out my globe pretty simple......if you pick up some stock king hauler rails. All you will have to do is drill holes for your cab floor and fuel tank placement if the kh location does not suite you. You can then just buy a king hauler long drive shaft or upgrade to a rc4wd punisher shaft..

Here is my Mack cab over on stock king rails

I also did the stock king hauler rails on my globe and it looks perfect for me, any longer may look a bit cartoonish in my opinion.

Both our trucks have garden trucking 3" extensions. When you get them, they come with dimensions and pictures of where to cut. They fit very snug and solid. Just make sure you have a perfectly square cut so the seam is less noticeable.
It is a lot more work like Dabears said but it's better than having to drill and tap a whole bunch into custom rails:eek:
If I recall correctly, it's 1 1/2 inches back from the back sleeper hole is the cut?
I can take some close up pics if you'd like.

I think the globe on king rails looks perfect in the pics posted. When I build my first globe, it's gonna be on a kinghauler frame for sure! Thanks for sharing guys:cool:

Where did you live in brick? And where are you now. It would be nice to have a fellow rc truck enthusiast in my area.
