Madill 122-B Swing Yarder

I have worked on the yarder some more this past month. Some more body work and details are done.







And I have been playing around with the gearboxes. I eliminated the slipper clutches and put in a few spacers so now everything is nice and tight. I have no idea what motors are in this but I do know that they have no power. I have been shopping arround looking at gear motors but am not exactly sure what to get and if they will even fit. Do I just put in a can motor like these but with a little more poop? In the pic with the shaped drive shaft I hope to find a plastic gear the size I need and put it on there and then run k1 chain on it. The other end I'm working on a tensioner with a gear the same size as the driven one.









Oh yeah, I decided this is going to be a 124 instead of a 122, only because I could find a bunch more pics and it will also be MOAR bigger. More to come soon
