I use solid for the idlers just for the extra front end weight unless they are spoked then i might mill them out the idlers on my terex and the D 7 are 3 inch solid by 1 inch thickgood and heavy to hold the blades and front ends down

 LOL , not . Henry I'm using what I got laying around , if I need more weight thats another place to put lead
