It looks like a lot of rooms available in Champaign area (18-19 miles from Monticello) for Memorial Day weekend (May 22nd - 25th).
Nate, is that correct at 18-19 miles to Champaign? DieselKid and I drove that far last October to our hotel and that wasn't too bad. Actually it was well worth it after having a blast all day.  It would be nice that weekend because we gain an extra day, but I know it gets into family time with it being the holiday weekend. What ever works for the majority. -Terry

I'd prefer to stick with Memorial Day weekend if at all possible, just because we gain the extra day without taking vacation.

If you thought that Memorial Day caused problems with the family, Mother's Day is worse by far!!! Keep the original dates and I will just have to drive a little bit more than I want to. Had to get a motel room about an hour away from the NRA Show in Nashville for next weekend. Not paying their prices for a place to sleep plus all are sold out within 25 miles.
