I haven't asked him to replace whole unit yet since I guess I have to pay shipping cost.

I would ask Tang for a replacement loader. It's not acceptable to receive a deffective model and ask the consumer to repair it themselves. Your covered under Eagle's warranty I would definitely ask for another loader. Lots of good reviews on the 1.5 version no reason you should be stuck with a lemon.
